Aim of the Game

Before we head further let us first understand the aim of the game.

FANTASY ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE 2010-11 will be played from 14th Aug 2010 to 22nd May 2011 in sync with matches played in the English Premier League 2010-11 tournament

The aim of the game is to select players for every match week who can score the most for you. As explained in detail below, players that you select in your fantasy team score points for you based on their performance in real matches. As the game progresses, you accumulate more and more points. The teams that win the most points stand to win fabulous prizes.

Register to Play!

Get into the driving seat! All you have to do is to register yourself using a valid email id. As soon as you do that, you are all set for an experience of a lifetime. The best is if you have already registered for any other game on IFL - be it cricket/ tennis/ golf - you do not need to register again. Just login with your credentials and create your team.

Now you can also login to IFF using your existing accounts on Facebook, Yahoo and Gmail

Then you get to name your team. And if you want, you can give it your own slogan and a description too. Your team will even get its own page where others can come and watch your team's performance. At the end of each match week, the scores for your players and team will be updated. Ranks for top registered teams will also be displayed.

Get going - Create your Fantasy Football Team!

Once you've successfully registered for any game on IFL, you can login with your Username and password and go right ahead to create your winning football team!

Team Management

This is where you get to select a team of your choice. You will see the complete list of teams and players participating in the matches, from this list you can choose 11 players that you think will perform the best.

Each of them will readily play for your team but they come at a price. To begin with you are provided a credit pool and you can buy your team using these credit points. The cost of each player has been determined by our panel of experts and is also shown in credits.

4-4-2 (4 defenders, 4 midfielders, 2 forwards) plus a goal keeper
4-3-3 (4 defenders, 3 midfielders, 3 forwards) plus a goal keeper
3-4-3 (3 defenders, 4 midfielders, 3 forwards) plus a goal keeper

Next, simply drag and drop players from the list to the correct position on to the play field. Just make sure the player positions are correct else they won't stay!

To remove any player from your selection, click the 'remove player' link.

Save your changes and submit the team. Make sure you select your team at least one hour before the start of the first match of every week so that the changes can become effective and your team can participate.

Transfers

You, as the manager have a right to unlimited transfers - but you cannot use more credits than you have in your kitty. Further, Indian Fantasy Football is played on a week basis. To become effective the transfers have to be done at least one hour before the start of the first match of the week. The team thus saved becomes your active team for matches of that week.

On transfer of players, the current market value of player will be applicable and an equal amount of money will be either credited or debited from your kitty.

Transfer window for every week will open once all matches of that week have been played. During the game you can't change your existing team.If changed,the new team will be eligible for scoring from the next week's match.

Your Team's Past Performance

To review how your team performed in any given match day, simply go to View My Team and select the Match Day. You will get to see both the formation you had selected for that Match day as well as how your team performed.

Player Performance

As the game progresses, you surely would like to review the performances of players in matches up to that point before deciding on selecting them in your team. You can do that by going into the Player Statistics section. Simply select the match day for which you would like to see their performance and you will get the scores they earned on Indian Fantasy Football.

Scoring Rules

Your selected players will earn points for you based on the standard score calculating system developed for Indian Fantasy Football

Winning

• The teams with the maximum points after each week, month and/or at the end of the game will be declared winners.
• In case of a tie, the team that has scored more goals will be adjudged the winner.
• In case there is a tie on both the above criteria, the team that has been created earlier will be declared winner.
• In the unlikely event of a tie in all the above three, the winner will be declared by our panel of experts. Note that the decision of the panel will be binding.

Prize Distribution

• Team Managers can win more than one prize over the duration of the league, but they can win any one type of prize     only once. For example, if a team manager has already won a mobile phone as a daily, weekly or monthly prize, he will     not be awarded another mobile phone. In case he secures a position which makes him/ her eligible for the same prize a   second time, the same shall be forfeited and passed on to the next eligible winner. But if the same manger secures a     position that makes him eligible for, say for example, a DVD player, the same shall be awarded to him/ her.
• Prizes will be limited to a maximum of one per family unit - by definition, of corresponding names, address, common       phone numbers, ration card proof, valid email i.d.'s etc. A thorough process of identification will be in process to ensure    that there is no repetition of prizes going to the same individual / family members.
• User must enter a valid email address to be eligible for prizes. If the user does not respond to within 21 days of our       communication the prize stands forfeited.
• Prizes have to be COLLECTED within 15 days of winner being intimated.
• All prizes have to be collected from our offices in Delhi / Mumbai / Bangalore / Chennai / Ahmedabad and will not be delivered anywhere      else.
